AFCW Match Report

A great night out
Wednesday 10th July is a night that will stay in my mind for a long time. A packed Gander Green Lane, Sutton saw the birth of AFC Wimbledon. An atmosphere was created almost instantlyby the supporters which I would say was the best atmosphere i've ever seen at a football match. About 4,500 people were at Sutton and it seemed there was a lot more AFCW supporters.
The game itself had to be delayed for 15 minutes because of supporters wanting to get in. The roads around the ground were chokablok with support for AFCW.
The game itself wasn't the most intresting affair. Scrappy football mostly played in the middle of the park, but an atmosphere created which made it worthwhile to go to.
A couple of players looked a bit intresting. One that stood out to me was Dean Martin. A 6 foot something black geezer who gave Sutton trouble at times should be able to rip the piss out of any CCL defence with relative ease.He had an early goal disallowed.
Joe Sheerin the ex-chelsea man also didn't look bad,he was handed the captains armband for the game and looked as though he could be very useful at times.
Another player that looked quite good despite an age of 46 was Kevin Tilley an ex-Dons player who played during the 70's.
Other layers who looked good were Mehmet Mehmet,Triggerand Drew Watkins.
The score was 3-0 and its the first ever time i've been happy after a 3-0 defeat but it didnt matter i enjoyed myself, everyone enjoyed them selves and I'm looking foward to beating every team in the CCL.AFCW
